Principal's Corner

mooreHello WECC Family and Community,

I am Frances Paschá Moore, the new Principal of Washington Early Childhood Center! Words cannot express how excited I am about starting this new journey here in Marshall ISD. It is a privilege to be a part of your child’s start in Pre-K. A little about myself: I was born and raised in Hodge, Louisiana and graduated from Jonesboro-Hodge High School in 2003. I then went on to attend Grambling State University (GSU). I graduated from GSU in May of 2007 with a BS degree in Elementary Education.

After college, I began my teaching career for the Monroe City Schools District teaching 5th grade students Math, Science, and Social Studies. After two years, I moved to Longview, Texas and taught all subjects to students in grades 2, 4, and 5 for Longview ISD for five years. In 2013, I decided to further my education and began working on obtaining my master’s degree. I graduated with a M.Ed. in Educational Administration with Principal Certification in December of 2013.

In July of 2014, I started my path as an administrator. I became an Instructional Coach for Tyler ISD before transitioning into an Assistant Principal position at Price T. Young Middle School here in Marshall ISD. After two years, I was offered an opportunity to grow and become a campus principal and moved away. Although my time away was successful, I missed Marshall ISD and was blessed with the opportunity to come back and now call WECC my new home!

I look forward to meeting and having a great relationship with my WECC Family and Community. I am truly excited and looking forward to an AMAZING year!
